Grove City is a borough in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, approximately 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. It is the home of Grove City College, a private conservative Christian liberal arts college as well as General Electric, Instron, USIS and a number of small businesses. It is also the home to George Junior Republic an all-boys institution. It serves to house, school, and discipline 400 high school-aged boys from troubled backgrounds. Historically a traditional industrial center, Grove City has manufactured locomotive engines, carriages, gas engines, foundry products, and motor trucks.
