Job Overview

We’re looking to hire a talented, self-motivated individual for a summer internship that will support the marketing team to deliver on the needs of the brand. This position works collaboratively across the marketing department to provide support in market research, tracking and reporting, and day to day administrative support. Interns will experience a robust 10-week program leading business critical projects.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand breadth of brand management responsibilities including business analysis, applying consumer insights to business strategies, developing product pipeline, and supporting products
  • Present insights and recommendations by synthesizing data from a variety of sources including syndicated data, primary or other secondary sources



Project assignments may include experiences such as work on established portfolio of products, innovation/new products, or customer/channel specific strategies. As an intern, you will experience the key responsibilities of a brand marketer at Annie’s:

  • Lead Teams: Be the hub of the wheel and lead a team of cross-functional experts in the development and execution of brand management strategies — including product development, packaging, trade and pricing, and business operations.
  • Build our Brand: Get to know the Annie’s consumer and engage with them through modern brand building strategies. Integrate innovative marketing plans including high-impact promotions and advertising with overarching growth strategies across all marketing levers.
  • Grow the Business: Identify new, innovative ideas to drive brand growth. Develop new product ideas and strategies. Develop and execute general management plans which include input into volume, profit and share objectives.


Intern responsibilities may include:

  • Market Research and Analysis
    • General research on current food trends
    • Competitive analysis
    • Research on pricing, shelving, distribution, and merchandising
  • Innovation
    • New product research and analysis
    • Product pipeline recommendations and commercialization of product concepts
  • Marketing & Support Plans
    • Analyze specific customer strategies; recommend approaches
    • Assist with development of marketing and communications materials
    • Assist in tracking program results and periodic reporting

The ideal candidate has a keen interest in marketing for a values driven organization and possesses the basic knowledge of marketing principles through coursework or prior work experience.

  • Current student in MBA program with Marketing and/or General Management concentration(s)
  • Interest in Organic Food Industry/Sustainability
  • Excellent attention to details with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through and task completion
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and sense of humor
  • Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Creative problem solver; able to work independently to produce quality results
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
