Job Overview

Position Summary:

We’re looking to hire a talented, self-motivated individual for a summer internship that will support the Berkeley Supply Chain team. This position works collaboratively across the Supply Chain and other Annie’s functions both in Berkeley and Minneapolis to provide support in providing business improvement recommendations and to streamline processes.

Learning Outcomes:

Learn from working with multiple job roles within the organization including: Supply Planning, Brand Planning, Logistics Operations, and Sales and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Identify logistics planning process improvement opportunities to increase customer service levels and reduce supply chain waste

  • Support the logistics function in launching new products, maintaining excellent customer service levels, while minimizing waste and budgets. Collaboration with logistics, sourcing, and the cross-functional business team is key
  • Provide recommendations to streamline communication and efficiencies between different areas of supply chain and our external partners to help drive out waste through lean thinking
  • Lower overall inventory by analyzing the impacts and constraints of our supply chain on a specific manufacturing platform and/or product grouping  

Qualifications
  • Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Interest in Organic Food Industry/Sustainability
  • Excellent attention to details with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent follow-through and task completion
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and sense of humor
  • Strong team player, ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Creative problem solver; able to work independently to produce quality results
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Six Sigma/Lean experience or educational background
  • Strong communication skills
