College Profile: Gwinnett College-Sandy Springs
Rising Spirit has just been approved by the State approving body, GNPEC, and our national accreditation, ACCSCT, to go through one of the largest changes in our school's history by changing our name from the Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health to Gwinnett College - Sandy Springs. In the best interest of our students, we have decided to keep the name Rising Spirit School of Massage for our Massage Therapy students.
The mission of Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health (RSI) is to provide diploma programs of higher education. These programs of high quality are designed to prepare a diverse student population to meet the needs of employers. RSI has its goal of preparing students academically, intellectually, personally, and professionally for successful careers and advancement.
We will prepare students to assume a useful place in society and perform well in that place; hence, the objectives of qualified and employable graduates are of the utmost importance; to offer, through a sincere concern on the part of educated and experienced teachers, the necessary tools of learning that will help to make the student's future a success; and to assure all students and prospective students that, from the first contact to graduation, the relationship with all school officials will meet high standards of education and business ethics.
We at Rising Spirit are always looking for ways to be able to better serve our students and our society. For our students, this means that they will have the opportunity to work in entry-level positions of the medical or chiropractic environments with all three programs, and will be able to find entry-level work in Spas/Resorts, et cetera, by completing the Massage program. Our society is coming out ahead as well because there are more educated, skilled workers in the businesses they may frequent. It is a win-win for everyone involved.
