Massage and Skin Care (Associate Degree)
This program will enable graduates to assume responsibilities in two professions, allowing them to work effectively in health care, skin care or recreational facilities. Training in therapeutic massage will be enhanced with training in the holistic approach to skin care.
Massage and Skin Care (Associate Degree)
This program will enable graduates to assume responsibilities in two professions, allowing them to work effectively in health care, skin care or recreational facilities. Training in therapeutic massage will be enhanced with training in the holistic approach to skin care.
Paramedical Skin Care (Associate Degree)
This program involves the study of plastic surgical pre-operative and post-operative treatments, skin care consultation and dermatological assistant care. In the private practice sector, the paramedical skin care professional will be able to practice techniques used to counteract the aging process, as well as techniques used to protect, heal and beautify the skin. This program will prepare the student to become marketable in the medical community. Additional skills will enhance the student?s skin care practice by incorporating specialized techniques in high demand.
Skin Care and Electrology Training Program (Certificate Program)
The program blends the training of the holistic approach to skin care with the skills necessary to practice electrolysis. Students will learn make-up artistry, spa therapies, aromatherapy, and general business development. Further, this program is designed to provide the comprehensive theory a student needs to become a competent practitioner in the field of permanent hair removal. This course includes classes in histology with emphasis on the skin and hair, classes in the theory and use of electricity in the field of permanent hair removal, as well as a background in disease and infection control. The clinical hands-on curriculum provides the practical training necessary to develop competent techniques.
Skin Care Training (Certificate Program)
This program blends training of the holistic approach to skin care with other valuable training in the areas of hair removal, make-up artistry, spa therapies, basic facial massage techniques, aromatherapy and general business development.
Therapeutic Massage Training Program (Licensing Exam Preparation)
This program blends training in therapeutic massage with knowledge of the structure and function of the human body. In addition, the curriculum provides students with training in hydrotherapy, Florida massage law and the most current allied modalities.
