Options include software and hardware support, help desk analysis, networking support, network security analysis and network administration. The Occupational Associate Degree in Computer and Networking Technology offers a wide range of computer software applications, operating systems, hardware and software support and services, and advanced networking concepts and skills. These, along with a broad base of general education courses, give the student a solid foundation for opportunity or the potential for advancement in the information technology industry. Graduates of the program may be qualified for entry-level opportunities as computer repair technicians, computer software and hardware support technicians, help desk analysts, network support and service technicians, network security analysts and network administrators. The Computer and Network Technology program also prepares students to sit for the CompTIA? A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications, as well as the Microsoft? Certified Systems Administrator(MCSA) certification. The curriculum consists of sixty-four (64) semester credit hours presented over four (4) semesters.
