Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (Bachelor Degree)
The South College Elementary Education (K-6) program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree and an initial Tennessee teaching license in elementary education for grades K-6. A comprehensive program of study integrates a general education core, a professional education core, and an academic major that prepares candidates to meet the academic and developmental needs of all K-6 students.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science (Bachelor Degree)
The focus of the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program is to provide a comprehensive health science education to undergraduate students. As a pre-professional program, it is designed to provide the foundational degree for those wishing to pursue graduate education in health sciences or in the health professions, such as medicine, nursing, or pharmacy. For those students who do not go on to graduate study, opportunities exist for positions in the biological, life, and health sciences. Example positions include Food Scientist and Technologist, Biological Scientist and Technician, and Material Scientist.

Candidates seeking a Tennessee teaching license for grades K-6 who have earned a Bachelor?s degree in any major are eligible to apply to the Post-Baccalaureate T.E.A.C.H. Program. Degreed individuals who are working full-time can expect course work to be offered on Saturdays and evenings. The schedule allows individuals to remain employed prior to EDU 4090 Enhanced Student Teaching. Subsequent to professional education course completion, a student received 2 student teaching placements for 15 weeks of full-time student teaching in K-3 and 4-6 grades. Student teaching placements near residence is attempted. The teacher licensure program is designed to be completed in 4 quarters (12 consecutive months). Candidates are enrolled as full-time students and may qualify for financial aid. No degree is awarded from South College for the completion of the Post-Baccalaureate program. The T.E.A.C.H. Post Baccalaureate program is a certification program only.
