College Profile: Bryan College-Dayton
A four-year undergraduate college of arts and sciences, the basic purpose of Bryan College is to educate students to become servants of Christ to make a difference in today's world. The College seeks to assist in the personal growth and development of qualified students by providing an education based upon an integrated understanding of the Bible and the liberal arts.
Approximately 1150, which includes over 700 students from 40 states and 7 foreign countries enrolled in the Dayton campus traditional program and over 400 students in graduate, distance learning, and degree completion programs. We have approximately 40 major areas of study.
Our Academic programs include Biblical Studies, Biology, Business Administration, Christian Ministry, Christian Leadership, Christian Thought, Communication Studies, Computer Science, Education, English, Exercise & Health Science, History, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Music, Politics And Government, Nursing (3-2 agreement with Vanderbilt University), Psychology, Spanish, and Theatre.
About 80% of the full-time faculty teaching in our bachelor's degree programs hold the doctorate or highest degree available in their respective fields.
We have more than 40 clubs, organizations, and opportunities where students can plug in, including Student Government; Debate Club; College Republicans; SIFE; Fellowship of Christian Athletes; Ministry Council; Yearbook (The Commoner); Newspaper (Triangle); Bryan Chorale; Hilltop Players; and a number of professional and religious clubs, honor societies, and more.
Bryan's 125-acre hilltop campus is situated in Dayton, Tennessee within the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, and just forty minutes north of Chattanooga.
