The mission of Southeast Technical Institute is to initiate, develop and provide high quality technical education opportunities and services for individials, age sixteen or older. Within this mission, Southeast 1) educates people for employment, 2) delivers and facilitates continuing education, and provides inservice and customized courses to meet training needs of businesses and industry. Through its programs and services, Southeast also facilitates economic development.
At STI, we do one thing and do it well - educate for employment success! With nearly 40 career paths to choose from, our students enter the workforce confident and experienced in their chosen profession. Also because our students spend just two years with us, their knowledge base is fresh and innovative.
STI offers Associate in Applied Science degrees (AAS) as well as diplomas and certificates. AAS degrees generally take 24 months or less to complete, and diplomas and certificates typically take one year or less. STI is one of South Dakota's most affordable post-secondary institutions and turns out the third largest higher education graduating class in the state. STI is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of North Central Accreditation.
Southeast Tech offers Associate in Applied Science degrees (AAS) as well as diplomas and certificates. All programs can be completed in just 24 months or less, and at a fourth of the cost of a four-year degree.

Southeast Technical Institute's campus is located west of I-29 and just south of Russell Street in Sioux Falls, SD. It consists of the Mickelson Education Center; the Terrence Sullivan Health/Science Center; the Ed Wood Center; the Technology Center; the Scarbrough Child Care Center; and Nicolay-Hummel and Andera Residence Halls.
