Our students are busy – on campus, in the community, and around the world – being active scholars and engaged citizens.
Our accomplished faculty and dedicated staff have the same commitment to student success that their predecessors had in 1835, the year our College was founded. Our 464-acre campus includes classrooms, labs, performance spaces and athletic facilities that meet the latest standards for functionality, design and enjoyment.
As part of the State University of New York system of higher education, The College at Brockport represents one of the greatest values in education today. Committed to accessibility and excellence, we prepare our graduates to lead lives of contribution and meaning. Our alumni go on to serve their communities in every profession and avocation. They continue to be ambassadors for the College through their tireless volunteering, generous financial support and active student mentoring.
The campus is spacious, with 60 buildings and athletic fields occupying about one-fourth of the 591-acre campus. The remaining area is gently rolling open or wooded land. The College mall, stretching from traditional Hartwell Hall to contemporary high-rise residence halls, is a lovely pedestrian thoroughfare. • Students may choose to live in a high-rise or a two- or three-story residence hall, in either a room with corridor-style baths or in a suite with self-contained bath and study room.
SUNY Brockport’s main campus is located in the village of Brockport, 16 miles west of Rochester, New York. Brockport combines the familiarity and friendliness of a charming college town with easy access to the opportunities of a metropolitan city. The College’s 435-acre campus is only 10 miles from the southern shores of Lake Ontario, with its many parks and beaches; within short driving distance of New York State’s renowned Finger Lakes; and within easy reach of area ski resorts.
