Welcome to the Meramec campus, located in southwestern St. Louis County. The 78-acre campus is surrounded by residential communities, office parks, and small and large businesses such as UniGroup, Des Peres Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Maritz Corp.
More than 40 percent of the district’s students attend Meramec. Nearly 70 percent of its students are enrolled in college transfer curricula. In addition to transfer programs, Meramec offers unique career and technical programs in areas such as horticulture, occupational therapy assistant, physical therapist assistant, architectural technology, interior design and information reporting technology. The campus is home to the Center for Visual Technology, a set of state-of-the-art instruction labs containing the latest Macintosh computer workstations, operating systems and software available. The Center for Visual Technology is a component of the campus' Center of Excellence - Digital Arts and Technology Alliance and serves students who are training for careers in emerging visual arts areas. The art program is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Students who attend Meramec will find a stimulating, positive-learning atmosphere and classrooms equipped with the newest teaching delivery systems. Instructors, staff and a wide array of supports services are available to help you succeed.
Our academic programs, such as fine arts and visual technologies, and services are nationally recognized. Seventy percent of our student who plan to transfer do so to four-year universities, while 75 percent of Meramec student who completed one of our 50-plus career programs are employed in their field of study or continue their education within 180 days of graduation. Graduates who transfer to four-year institutions have as good or better grade-point averages than those who began as freshmen with that institution.
Meramec offers a variety of student activities, including a nationally ranked intercollegiate athletic program, exciting theater productions, concerts and art exhibits that also are open to the public at no charge.
