The Computer Networking/Information Systems program is a comprehensive course of study. Students will be trained for computer PCrepair and maintenance as well as computer networking hardware andsoftware. Through both theory and hands-on instruction, students willachieve a thorough understanding of the design, installation, maintenance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of computers and computer networks.Specific network hardware instruction includes, but is not limited to,safety, network terminology and protocols, network standards, LANs,WANs, OSI models, routers and router programming, TCP/IP addressingprotocols, building and environmental codes as well as network cablingtechniques.Specific network software instruction includes LAN installation,troubleshooting, and maintenance.
