The principle mission of the Iowa School of Beauty is to produce competent graduates who are able to render quality service to the public.
Iowa School of Beauty is the leader in Cosmetology education in Iowa and has four campuses located in Urbandale (Des Moines), Ottumwa, Marshalltown and Sioux City. We've been training professional cosmetologists since 1923.
Our admissions department would be happy to sit down and explain the programs we have available. As always, there are no hidden fees with your education and your total cost is explained to you before you enroll.
Our Cosmetology Program requires 2100 hours of study. A full-time student attends classes a minimum of 35 hours per week. When regular attendance is followed, the curriculum requirements of 2100 hours can be fulfilled within 60 weeks.
Our Nail Technology Program requires 325 hours of study. A nail tech student attends classes 21 hours per week. When regular attendance is followed, the curriculum requirements of 325 hours can be fulfilled within 15 weeks.
We offer financial aid for those who qualify through both Federal Pell Grants and Federal Stafford Student loans.
Iowa School of Beauty maintains a staff of qualified, dedicated cosmetologists who have chosen teaching as the method to express their creative talents. They attend the yearly instructors' institute as well as many different shows, seminars and classes designed to keep their teaching skills at a peak level of productivity.
