Our mission is to lead our students to success with the support and involvement of families and community.
Winter Park Tech (WPT) is recognized in Central Florida as the leading technical training center for career and technical education. WPT provides a “High-Tech, High Touch” educational environment, state-of-the-art equipment and an exceptional instructional staff where students develop exceptional technical and soft skills.
Technical training programs focus around the career clusters of Business, Information Technology, Arts and Design, and Health Science. Currently, 26 career certificate programs are offered to adults and high school students. There is also a continuous schedule of academic courses for adult high school credit, GED preparation, academic remediation, adult basic education, and Adult English Literacy/ESOL. Students are prepared for the workforce with exceptional technical skills and employability skills that today’s employers are seeking.
Over 300 business and industry leaders support our work and serve with us to ensure that our programs are industry standard and our teachers are industry trained. We also offer short term classes and customized training to meet the specific needs of business in the areas of computer and health related courses.
