The mission of Sanz School is to equip students for successful living and responsible citizenship in a rapidly changing local, national, and global community. We do this by providing accredited, accessible, affordable, cost-effective, and quality educational opportunities for the development of marketable job skills, English language, and personal growth. Health Information Technology (Diploma Program)
This Associate of Sciences (AOS) Degree program is designed to prepare individuals to manage and code the medical information obtained in medical records, organize the coded information from the medical records for reimbursement purposes, abstract other data to meet administative and governmental requirements, and manage medical and legal inquireies for medical record information. Employment of individuals with these skills is essential for healthcare providers whether the provider is a hospitl, clinic, physician's office, nursing home, or other healthcare agency. Graduates will be prepared for a variety of positions in the Health Information Technology market, such as analyists, processors, specialists, technicians, supervisors, coordinators, assistant directors, and directors. The program is designed to offer a wide variety of learning experience including classroom lecture, use of computers and software designed for health information technology.
Medical Office (Diploma Program)
This program is designed to emphasize the essential skills necessary to work in the administrative area ('front office") of a medical office, clinic or hospital department. This program includes Billing & Coding. In addition, students will gain other specific advanced skills that are in high demand, such as claims processing and records management as well as using Medical Manager software. Typical positions available to program graduates include: Administrative Medical Assistant, Medical Office Specialist, Medical Secretary, Medical Records Clerk, Medical Claims Processor, and Medical Insurance Biller.
